Phytophthora In Pepper Plants

Farmers should visit the garden regularly, detect early and treat with Map Rota 50WP.

Symptoms and effects: 

  • The disease is caused by the fungus Phytophthora.
  • The fungus exists in the soil, attacking the parts of the pepper plant such as the roots, root necks, foot of the tree and stem, leaves.
  • Phytophthora fungus attacks on the underground parts causing vascular rot leading to wilting and rapid death in a very short time.
  • Newly infected pepper plants show yellowing of leaves and loss of leaves
